How H&L integrates with
Now Book It Reservations and Deposits
About

For further assistance with the integration between H&L and Now Book It, please contact our H&L support team. You can log a support ticket in the client portal.
For further assistance using Now Book It, visit:
- A reservation is created in Now Book It.
- H&L receives reservation messages from Now Book It; these will contain full reservation details.
- The POS user can navigate to the Table Booking page in Exceed and select a booking to view basic reservation details (name, phone, email, covers, comments).
- When the reservation is seated from Now Book It a table will automatically be added in Exceed.
Note: Reservations can only be seated from Now Book It, and not from Exceed. - When a table charge occurs:
- Charge totals will be visible in the Now Book It Dashboard
- Item breakdown will be visible against Now Book It Guests.
- Any status changes to the table status will be visible in against the Now Book It reservation.
- Charge totals will be visible in the Now Book It Dashboard
- When a table is paid and cleared, the status in Now Book It will update to finished.
Deposit Workflow
- Deposit is taken against the booking. This triggers an email to the customer for payment. Once successful, this updates the amount paid on the Now Book It platform.
- Now Book It sends the deposit update to H&L. The deposit value can be seen against the booking in Exceed.
- When the reservation is seated in Now Book It the table will be automatically added in Sysnet.
- If the option Redeem Deposits when Seating is enabled (in Utilities > System Options > Table Interfaces), the Deposit will be redeemed against the table.

Points to Note
The following actions are not possible or supported by this integration:
- Seating reservations from the POS (must be done from NBI)
- Updating reservations from the POS (must be done from NBI)
- Support for walk-ins (only bookings are sent to H&L)
- Support for pre-auth payments (only deposits and full payments are sent to H&L)
- Support for multiple H&L locations (integration is limited to one location)
