  1. On the Record Wastage screen, select the in-progress wastage to resume.

  2. Review the items already added, then tap (+) Add Another Item to add more.

Adding Items to Wastage

  1. From the Stock Mobile home screen, tap the Record Wastage icon
  2. Select an existing Wastage or create a new Wastage.

  3. From the Wastage Items screen, locate a stock item by scanning the barcode or searching by item description.
  4. Optionally, change the factor to count by selecting a value from the drop down list.
  5. Optionally, tap the blank field between the - and + buttons to focus the entry field and display the keypad if required.
  6. Enter the quantity wasted

  7. Optionally, enter a reason for the wastage.

  8. Press Enter on the keypad, or tap Save.

Editing or Removing an Item from Wastage

To edit or remove an item from a discrepancy, navigate to the Wastage Items screen.

To edit a listed item:
  1. Locate the item in the list.

  1. Select Edit from the Ellipsis menu located in the top right of the item card

  1. Alter the entered quantity

  1. Select Save.

To remove a listed item:

  1. Select Delete from the Ellipsis menu located in the top right of the item card.

  1. Confirm the removal.

Processing the Wastage

The system totals will update to reflect the wasted quantities only after processing. To process the wastage:

  1. From the Wastage Items List tap the Process Wastage button.

  1. If successful, a pop-up dialog will appear with the message: “Successfully processed wastage”.

  1. Tap Ok to return to the Stock Mobile home page

Note: Processing the wastage is non-reversible. If there are mistakes in the items or quantities adjusted, correct them by entering a new wastage record. Record Wastage allows you to enter negative quantities, which can help reverse a wastage if an item count was too high or recorded against the wrong item.

Viewing Historical Wastages

Stock Mobile provides a historical view of processed adjustments and movements in Sysnet Cloud.

To view wastage history:

  1. From the Stock Mobile app tap the Record Wastage icon.

  1. Tap Wastage History.

  1. Scroll to find the historical wastage you want to view and select it.

  1. The Wastage History screen will display the items and wasted quantities processed for this wastage.

  1. Tap the () Back button or Home button when finished

Points to Note

  • In progress or processed wastages in Sysnet Cloud are not viewable or editable in the on-premises modules, and vice versa. Adjusted item quantities and values from processed wastages are synchronised between Sysnet Cloud and On-Premise databases.

Sysnet Cloud processed wastages will be visible in the on-premise Stock (Inventory) > History tab, and adjustments from processed wastages will be reflected in the on-premise Cost of Goods and Stock Movement reports.

  • Stock Mobile is designed to provide a streamlined and simplified experience. It does not include all the options or reporting functionality available in the on-premise product. Future Sysnet Cloud modules will offer more reporting features.
